Aleysubha Skariah, devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and beloved sister passed away peacefully November 12, 2025. She was born in Anchelpetty, Kerala, India to Mathai Varkey and Annamma Mathai as the 3rd daughter. She completed her early education in Pampakuda, before attending nursing school at JJ Hospital Mumbai, and began her career at Kasturba Hospital.
She married K.M. Skariah on February 16, 1976 and immigrated to the U.S. the same year. Together they started their family in East Texas, initially settling in Gladewater, and then later in Tyler.
For most of her nursing career, she practiced at UT Health Science Center at Tyler. She was greatly admired by her co-workers and recognized for patient care. She was equally passionate about her hobbies, expressing her creative side through cooking, sewing, and especially gardening.
Aleysubha is survived by her husband K.M. Skariah, daughter Leena Skariah, son-in-law Noel Cyrill, grandchildren Aiden and Emma; daughter Lisa Skariah and beloved dog Sophie; siblings Mary Kurian, Saramma Chacko, Omana Thukalan, Babu Mathew, and Jessy Kochumuttom.
