

Amado Lopez Soto, age 93, of Coppell, Texas, joined his wife and the angels in heaven Saturday morning, November 18, 2017, at his home surrounded by family. Born June 26, 1924, in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico, he was the son of Amado Soto, Sr. and Mercedes Lopez. Amado came to the U. S. and became a citizen in his mid-twenties. He traveled and worked at various jobs in the South and Midwest, finally deciding on auto mechanics as a career choice. While living in Chicago, Illinois, in 1951, he met and married his beautiful and loving wife Flora Carrizales from Texas. Around 1955, they decided to move closer to home and returned to Texas with their three children, settling in the Dallas area. Amado worked as an employee for various auto repair shops and dealerships during the 1950s and 1960s, and realized that for him, business ownership was the key to success. He started several auto repair businesses as a sole proprietor. In the early 1970s he incorporated as Amado Soto Enterprises, Inc. Moving to Coppell, Texas in the early 1980s he opened Soto’s Automotive with his sons. Besides running his business, he especially enjoyed travel, music, and spending fun times with family and friends. He is survived by his six children; A. J. Soto and wife Deborah Hudson of Rockwall, Texas, Abel Soto and wife Marcie of Farmers Branch, Texas, Tony Soto and wife Myra of Lewisville, Texas, Daniel Soto of Coppell, Texas, Rosemarie Contreras and husband Roy of Bedford, Texas, Roxanne Cannon and husband Bob of Coppell, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Max Soto, Christen Burris and husband Derek, Armando Contreras, Andrew Contreras, Robert Cannon, Jr. and wife Sarah, Natalie Cannon, Melissa Cannon, April Cannon; 1 great-grandchild, Hunter Burris; and many loving nieces and nephews. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday November 21, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, with Rosary at 7:00 pm, at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home, 400 Freeport Parkway, Coppell, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at St. Ann Catholic Parish, 180 Samuel Blvd., Coppell, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Lung Association or the American Red Cross.
