Bernice A. Glenn April 6, 1925 – April 14, 2018 Bernice passed away peacefully at our home in Coppell, Saturday, April 14, 2018 Bernice was born and raised in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. Her mom was Alma Kendrick and dad was Louie Allred. She had two brothers, Cecil & Maurice, and a sister Mildred. Bernice married Tom Falkenburg in January 1947. They are survived by their two daughters Anita Green and Linda Cullum, two Son in laws, Jim Green and Tom Cullum, three grandchildren, Aaron Green, Griffin Green, & Misha Phelps, granddaughter in law, Meghan green and five great grandchildren, Ava Green, Griffin Green, Austin Phelps, Bailey Phelps, & Sasha Green, nephews Bud Allred and wife Annetta, Chet Allred and wife Jeannie, Billie Allred and wife Shela, Louie Allred and wife Alice, and Gary Allred and wife Carolyn. Bernice loved her family and our dog Boomer and African grey parrot, Corky. Bernice finished first in her high school class and second in her class a UCLA. She had a photograph memory and never forgot anything, even at 93. She was a Jantzen swimsuit model in California, and a Stewardess before marrying our dad. Bernice was a top sales person at Neiman Marcus in the 60’s and 70’s, then a top seller at Lord & Taylor in the kids department. She was deeply loved by her clients and co-workers until she retired at 70. Bernice was very strong and resilient. She was given three weeks to live in 2010. She came to live with us in hospice care and got better and better, to the surprise of all the doctors and had eight more good years. Bernice loved to sing, watch old movies, watch Dance Moms, go to the Dollar Store, and to talk about the good ole days. BG, as she was called by her family, will be greatly missed, and she was loved by all.
