Carolyn Krhovjak

Carolyn was born in Macon, Georgia, on December 3, 1938, to Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Marcia. In 1939, the family moved to Birmingham, Alabama, where they lived until 1953.They then moved to Ennis, Texas, (her father's hometown), where Hubert worked at Ennis Business Forms.

Carolyn graduated from St. John High School in 1956. She attended Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, Texas, for two years and Benedictine Heights College in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for two years. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Carolyn taught school in Corsicana for two years, where she met her future husband Sam Krhovjak.

Carolyn and Sam were married on November 23, 1963, in Ennis at St. John Catholic Church. They resided in Arlington for 44 years. They were the proud parents of two children, Lisa and John.

While raising her family, Carolyn was a teacher at St. Maria Goretti Catholic School in Arlington for 20 years. In her spare time she enjoyed playing bridge, reading books, and spending time with family and friends.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter Lisa Stuart and Son John Krhovjak, three granddaughters who are married: Emily Nolan (Andrew Nolan), Brianna Knoble (CJ Knoble), Catherine Shoup (Evan Shoup), and four great-grandchildren. She adored them all!

Carolyn passed away on November 11, 2025, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Sam who died in 2007.
