Christopher Calan George also known as “Duke” “Freebird” and “Ego”, age 30, passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2022 in Lewisville, Texas. He is survived by his beautiful daughter Laylah George, Father Joseph George(Chevalier), Mother Renee George, his sisters Kristie George, Jalanna George, Ayanna George and brother Aayan George, his grandmother Mrs. Carina George and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Leroy Miller, Mary Carter and Sosthene George.
Christopher was born in Dallas, Texas on May 2, 1992 to his parents Joseph and Renee George. Christopher graduated from Coppell High School in 2010 and just returned to school in May of 2022 to major in Cyber Security at South University.
Christopher was a funny, bright, and amazing person. He was very knowledgeable, and he was often interested in things that went over our head. Christopher enjoyed watching documentaries about wellness, history, dreams, and aliens. One of his favorite channels to watch is the Discovery Channel. He never stopped learning! He loved listening to motivational speakers and podcasts. He was always interested in ways to recharge his mind, body, and soul. He was a health and wellness advocate. He also had a passion for music and spoken word. He loved to listen to music, and he was also a rapper. He was very talented. He knew how to write music and poetry. Some of his favorite music to listen was R&B, Hip-Hop, Neo-Soul, Jazz and Blues.
He has read many books. He loves to read especially the bible. Christopher didn’t go anywhere without his Bible. Christopher grew up in a Christian household. He was a man of God. No matter the circumstance or the mountains he may have had to overcome, he never let that stray him away from God. He was always on a mission to share his story and spread the word of God to everyone he came across. He loved talking about Jesus! Christopher was in the process of helping to create a Men’s Ministry through podcast for Freedom Place Church in Rowlett, Texas with his good friend Nicholas Kobres. Christopher was passionate about making a difference in his community and changing the world for the next generation.
Christopher has always been a free spirit. He was never really balanced but always on the go. He always dreamed big. He was very determined to make his life and the lives of those around him better. His path wasn’t easy, and he was faced with several obstacles along the way, but he never lost sight of his goals. He was unstoppable! A bad day could not erase that beautiful smile from his face. He encouraged positivity and offered advice. It wasn’t necessarily what you wanted to hear but it was always what you needed at that time. He knew just how to make you smile and laugh.
Although Christopher is no longer here with us physically, his name and spirit will live forever in our hearts. We all agree that we will miss him so much, but we must continue to hold onto the memories.
