Obituary of David Neal Pekrul
David Neal Pekrul, 80 years old, resident of Irving Texas, transitioned to his heavenly home on January 22, 2022. David was born on June 27, 1941 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Herman and Gladys Helen Pekrul. David had 2 loving brothers, Russell Staten and Charles R Pekrul. He reconnected with the love of his life and soul mate in 1977 and married Tina Lu Sellers on January 27, 1978 in Irving Texas. A graduate of Sunset High School, David served 20 years in the US Navy and retired as a Sr. Chief Petty Officer in 1985. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree of History in August of 1989 from the University of Texas at Arlington. After his military career, David worked as a tax preparer and course teacher for H&R block. David is survived by son, John Darrell Caddell and daughter in-law Jena Kae Caddell of Waxahachie Texas, Sister in-law Marty Staten, Niece Belinda Wadsworth, Nephew Tim Staten, great nephew Brian Wadsworth and countless cousins who he remained close to. David was preceded in death by his wife Tina Lu Pekrul, Mother Gladys Helen Pekrul, Father Herman Pekrul and brothers Russell Staten and Charles R Pekrul. Celebration of life will be at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home in Coppell Texas at 2pm on Sunday, January 30th with a viewing beginning at noon the same day. Burial ceremony will be at Kleberg Cemetery at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in David's name to Operation Kindness,, because of his love for animals. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the Pekrul family.
