his longtime residence on Denton Dr. as a result of liver disease. His liver disease
was diagnosed in late 2015 and he went through many procedures and many
treatments to help alleviate the symptoms, throughout the treatments, when
asked he would reply “I’m doing well”. His amazingly positive attitude and
demeanor was uplifting.
Denny was born April 25th, 1944 in Clay County, West Virginia to William Leff and
Sara Jane Brown. He was the tenth child out of sixteen children. Denny is survived
by his sisters Madeline Williams, Malinda Cole, Betty Smith, Delta Sault, Barbara
Bauer, and Sharon Hernandez, and by his brothers Doddy, Charles, Golden Lee,
and Frederick. He also leaves behind his children Diane Brown, Alan Brown, Alisha
Brown, Joesette Brown, and Corissa Lamb. He is also survived by his grandchildren
Tiffany, Amelia, Corina Joesette, Steven, Tabatha, Brittani, Austin, Brandon,
Hunter, Connor, Caleb, Jorja, and Brooklyn. Lastly, he leaves behind his great
grandchildren Collin, Chloe, Jonathan, Austin, Kelso, Tru, Alison, Brayden, Kipp,
Tre, Stiles, Sawyer, Aubrie, SJ, and Jaxon.
Aside from his close-knit family and lifelong friends, one of Denny’s main passions
was his work and spending countless hours a week with his extended family at the
City of Coppell, and earlier at the City of Carrollton. He loved to work and serve
others and his community. He spent 25 years at the City of Carrollton before
retiring and then spent an additional 18 years with the City of Coppell. He enjoyed
welding and working special events alongside his second family.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rolling Oaks Funeral Home in
Coppell. Visitation will be Sunday, June 17th, 2018 from 5pm-8pm. The funeral will
be held at Central Park Baptist Church on Monday, June 18th, 2018 at 10am.
