

Lois was born in Haskell, Texas on September 14, 1932 to O. P. and Nellie Collins. She died on August 30, 2016 at her home in Coppell, Texas, and surrounded by her loving family. Lois grew up in Haskell and graduated from Haskell High School in 1950.
On September 13, 1952, Lois married her high school sweetheart, James Miller, in Haskell. They were married for 63 years, 11 months and 17 days. To this union was added their daughter, Debbie Miller Brantley.
Lois and James had many world travels and lived in Alaska, Canada, Ireland, California, Houston and several West Texas cities.
Lois was a homemaker until her daughter started first grade. Then she worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement.
Lois was always a kind-hearted person and put her family first. She will be dearly missed by all who were privileged to know her and be loved by her.
Lois was preceded in death by: her parents; her brother, Buddy Collins; and sister and brother-in-law, Juanell and Jack Ray.
Lois is survived by her beloved husband and caregiver, James Miller of Coppell; her daughter, Debbie Miller Brantley of Irving; grandsons Jayson Owens of Austin and Ryan Owens of Grapevine; her sister, Barbara Sells of Iowa Park, Texas; brother-in-law, Finis Miller of Midland, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois was truly blessed to have three chosen daughters: Karen Owens of Grapevine; Mary Bilyeu of Winnfield, LA; and Debe Nichols of Carrollton. These special ladies were always there for her and she loved them as if they were her own.
Family will receive friends at the Rolling Oaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 6-8PM. A Celebration of Life for Lois will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in the Rolling Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Rolling Oaks Memorial Center.
