A Beloved Wife, Mother & Daughter & overall a beyond incredible Woman that has left this earth on January 28, 2021 and is now rejoicing in eternal peace at the age of 24 years.
She was born to her parents Jef K. De Brabander & Magaly Seguil De Brabander on September 12, 1996 in San Francisco California. She was a child who always had a smile and was the second born and only daughter born to the family. Being the only daughter and sister to three brothers Jef Jr., Liam & Albert, she was the princess of the family that brought joy, comfort and love to her family. She was light. She was love. She was the unspoken favorite child (ssssshhhhhh*quite)
Erika was born in a mixed and rich cultural household which consist of Belgian and Peruvian Heritage. Her first language was Spanish which was the primary language of the house. She would travel frequently to visit her beloved families overseas and had family that loved her from all over the world especially her grandparents from both sides of the family. As Erika grew in age she had a thirst for travel and went on to spend many of her years back and forth between many places and that is where she felt at home, “in many places”. Some of the things Erika loved was going out with friends, looking absolutely fabulous, Harry Styles, Disney, massages, getting her nails done, TikTok, Fashion, chillin, shopping, aquariums, and the beach. She always loved nature and the outdoors and her favorite animals were dolphins. In fact she loved dolphins so much, her handle was dolphinHottie on all internet accounts as a tweeny.
Erika grew up in Lewisville TX until the end of middle school and then moved to Flower Mound TX with her family where her family remains today. Her father is a notable and prolific scientist and professor. Her environment brought forth to her a love of science. Her mother is a leader in the Peruvian community which has brought her a deep love for her Peruvian heritage.
Erika had many friends and fond memories growing up and many of those friends remained close until the very end. During the early years Erika met Luke Skeldon which was to be her beloved husband. Erika and Luke brought a beautiful daughter Dani Taylor Skeldon into the world on January 28, 2016. Erika became a life partner and married Luke on January 28, 2018. Shortly after, their second was born, a son, Anders S.L.D. Skeldon on February 20. Erika was an incredible mother who loved her children and family more than anything. She has taught and raised her children to love unconditionally and was who the children looked to for outstanding wisdom and compassion because that is who Erika was as a person.
Erika was of a poetic soul. a different breed who was full of emotion and intelligence. Her love capabilities and empathetic capacity for people was much more than the average person. She was a corner stone for deep connection and a dependable friend. With that being said she often felt too much from the world. She suffered from a illness which eventually bested her.
Erika has gone to join her beloved Oma Magdje. She has left a legacy with two children who will carry her name forward and friends and families that celebrate this incredible woman’s journey. Her life has touched many because she went greater lengths to Love. Her legacy lives on and she will always be loved through the generations and never forgotten.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd from 4-8pm at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home in Coppell. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 2pm at St. Ann Catholic Parish in Coppell.
