

Frances was born on May 26, 1940 in Fort Worth, Texas and had lived here all of her life. She attended Birdville High School where she graduated in 1958. She worked for General Motors at the Assembly Plant in Arlington, Texas in Plant Engineering and retired after 30+ years of service as the Plant Manager’s Secretary. After retiring from General Motors, she was the bookkeeper at Dusty’s Costume Shop in Arlington, Texas and very much enjoyed her time there. She then worked at the Arlington Chamber of Commerce in Membership Services organizing and attending many ribbon cuttings.
Frances was a member of the Lone Star Chorus, a Sweet Adeline International chapter in the Fort Worth area, where she sang bass. She helped the chorus win many regional medals and performed on the International stage with Lone Star Chorus. Her time as a Sweet Adeline allowed her the opportunity to travel and she made many lifelong friends. She was one of the first Emeritus members of Lone Star Chorus and was a member of Sweet Adelines International for over 20 years.
Frances was also a volunteer for North Hills Hospital, logging hundreds of hours, giving of her time and service to others. She was an avid Birdville High School alumni of 1958 and was still enjoying their time together at the monthly luncheons.
Frances is predeceased by: her husband, Leslie Dow Robinson; sister, Barbara Sue Winkle; mother, Frances Opal Wheeler Allen; and father, Jake Calvin Allen.
She is survived by: her son, Allen Robinson; daughter, Elizabeth Robinson Brite; son-in-law, George Brite; grandsons, Nathan Brite and Brian Brite; and great-granddaughters Lily Brite, Livia Brite, and Emma Brite. Frances also is survived by her sister, Roberta Kelley, and many nieces.
