Frank Reese Richards was born on August 3rd, 1933 in a farmhouse near Nashua, Iowa and passed away on February 12, 2025. Throughout his early years, he attended a one-room country school for eight years and went on to graduate from Nashua High School in 1952. He attended Iowa State Teachers College for one year and was later inducted in the Army for two years. While in the Army, he met his future wife Joan and they were soon married in 1956 in Nashua, Iowa. From their marriage, they welcomed their son Stephen and daughter LeAnne.
In 1958, he received his Bachelor’s degree and in 1962 also received his Master’s degree. After receiving his Bachelor’s he went on to teach for forty years in the education system. Through these years, he held positions such as teacher, teaching instructor and principal. During his last years in education as a teaching instructor, he taught teachers a new curriculum. Following his retirement, Frank became active in the Gideons International Association and was proud to be able to serve the Lord.
