He was born on November 23, 1930 in Dallas, to his parents Sannie and Vincent O’Connor.
He was a proud 1952 graduate of Southern Methodist University with a degree in Business Administration and was a member of Alpha Tau Omega. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force as a finance officer. He was a life-long lover of skiing, boating and music.
A former President of the Texas Water Well Association, he had a long career in the water well drilling industry and was considered an expert in his field.
A loving and devoted family man, he is survived by his bride of 53 years, Nell, his four children, Kathy, Laurie, Scott, and Kelli, sons-in-law Roger and Keith, daughter-in-law Dana, his grandchildren, Kyle, Megan, and Chase, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home in Coppell, Texas.
