Joan Cecilia Brandstatter

Mrs. Brandstatter, who was 101 ½ years young at the time of her death, was born January 18, 1925 in London, England.

She was pre-deceased by her parents Percy and Cecilia (Gant) Sutton; her husband Major Ralph W. Brandstatter (USAF Retired), whom she married in London, England September 19, 1945; several brothers and sisters in the United Kingdom and dear friends Coretta and Rodger Hewitt.

She is survived by her sister Rita (Sutton) Cowburn of Essex, England; sisters-in-law Joyce (Arthur) Sutton of Wales and Nancy (Donald) Brandstatter of Chillicothe Illinois; sons David (Linda) Brandstatter of Trinity, Florida and Gregory (Sherrie) Brandstatter of Lewisville, Texas; daughter Debra (Charles) Henry of Dallas, Texas; Grandsons Bruce (Jennifer Turner) Brandstatter of New Port Richey, Florida and Sean (Valerie) Miller of Prosper, Texas; Great-Granddaughters Ashlyn and Brooklyn Miller of Prosper, Texas; Grandchildren by Marriage, Marcia Henry, Myka Tibbets, Brandi Holley and David Nichols; Bonus Great-Grandchildren Seth Picasso, Chloe Flores, Eli Elizaldi, Brianna Hernandez, Gracie, Anna and Evie Nichols, Gunner Holley and Brody Tibbets, as well as numerous Great-Great Grandchildren, nieces and nephews in the US and England.

Mrs. Brandstatter was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, USAF Officers’ Wives Club and volunteer for the American Red Cross with more than 40 years combined service in both England and the United States.

After a Celebration of Life, Mrs. Brandstatter will be interred with her husband at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, St. Louis, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials and donations in memory of Mrs. Brandstatter be directed to a charitable organization of the donor’s choice.
