Loan Chi Huynh, age 80, of Coppell, TX passed away on March 27, 2022. She was born February 15, 1942 in Can Tho, Vietnam. She married Thanh Lam in 1972 and together they had 3 daughters Kathryn, Ha, and May. In 1979, she courageously led her family to America at the end of the Vietnam War to Illinois and then ultimately settled in Texas, nurturing her family as they found their footing in a new homeland.
Loan cared selflessly for the entirety of her family - she was a doting wife and mother not only to her husband and daughters, but Mom and Grandma to countless others because she treated everyone like family. She boundlessly expressed her love to others through food from her kitchen with an open heart. Loan always put the needs of others before her own and never asked for anything in return (besides perhaps the occasional McRib!). As a devoted member of Chua Lien Hoa Buddhist Temple, she worked compassionately to serve her cohort. Loan's loving and charming nature was apparent in her ability to endear all those within her fold. Her warmth and generosity will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her Daughter, Kathryn Lam with her husband Thomas Asturias, and their children Maya and Ava; Daughter, Ha Lam; and Daughter, May Hsiao with her husband Chris Hsiao, and their children Jack and Nora.
