Michael was born on March 18, 1962, in Long Island, New York, to William and Barbara Baxter.
Michael graduated from the University of North Texas in 1995, with his degree in business and computer information systems. He went on to have a long career of 30 years in IT, as an Assistant Vice President of Application Development.
He had a passion for golf and was a season ticket holder to the Broadway Dallas Musicals. He also enjoyed attending Dallas Stars games.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 36 years, Karen Stewart Baxter, his mother, Barbara Baxter, his brother, Doug Baxter (Cindy Baxter), his sister, Sue Klumb, nieces, Amy Klumb and Salem Baxter, nephews, Josh Klumb and Zack Baxter, aunts, Ronni Ahnlund, Felicia Herriage, and June Chrzanowski, uncles, Lee Ahnlund and Anthony Herriage, and God children, Mason Krenzien and Murphy Krenzien. He is preceded in death by his father, William Baxter.

Services will be held on Friday, September 12, at 11 a.m. at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Rolling Oaks Memorial Center, 400 Freeport Parkway Coppell, TX.
