Micki Lynn Kennedy

She is survived by her daughters Shannon Kennedy and Grace (Kyle) Murray; son, Eric (Brittany) Kennedy; grandchildren, Brooklyn Kennedy, Emma Murray, Declan Murray, and Landyn Kennedy; sisters, Teresa Greenleaf and Stacy MacQuivey.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Emmett Kennedy.

Micki was born November 22, 1950, in Plymouth, Indiana where she lived until she graduated from Plymouth High School. She was raised on her grandparent’s apple orchard on Pretty Lake in Plymouth. On the lake, she learned to swim before she could walk. Micki met her husband of 43 years, Emmett, while attending Purdue University. They were married in December 1973 and spent most of their married life in Coppell, TX.

Micki graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Houston-Clearlake in 1988 with a B.S. in Education. Micki began her career as an insurance adjuster at GAB. Micki was the VP of Finance for AMCAT in Coppell, Texas until she retired in 2019.

She was active with the Coppell High School Band Boosters and served as its president 2007-2008.

A funeral will be held at St. Ann Catholic Parish on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM with a reception to follow.
