Rachel was born on March 28, 1972 in Big Spring, Texas and for her entire life, dreamed of being a mother. She had four kids: Caleb, Emily, Harris, and Avery, only because her husband Wade would not let her have six. She loved her kids more than anything and would take them on vacation every year, whether or not they could afford to. Rachel did this because she wanted them to experience more than what was in Dallas/Fort Worth. She fought tirelessly for each of them. Each was their own person and she knew how to be there for them both when they knew what they needed and when they didn't know what they needed. Rachel was over the moon when she was finally able to be called Nana as she loved her "Goose" and "chunky man".
Rachel's zest for life was only matched by her willingness to just go out and find new experiences as well as making new memories. This sense of adventure took her and Wade to Canada and led to them eventually buying a house in Maine. Rachel was a fantastic wife, a loving partner and a best friend. There is not a way to fill the empty.
Rachel is survived by her husband, Wade Sigler; children Caleb Allen, Emily Sigler, Harris Sigler, and Avery Sigler; grandchildren Brynne Benge and Adley Benge. Also left behind is her sister Heather Cottle, her mother Jennifer Giles, sister-in-law Tammy Sigler, brother-in-law Joel Sigler, and father-in-law Samuel Sigler. She was preceded in death by her father David Giles and mother-in-law Gayle Sigler.
A memorial service to honor Rachel's life will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home, 400 Freeport Parkway, Coppell, TX 75019.
