Rick G. Whitson, 74, born November 19th, 1946 in Oklahoma City, OK, passed away peacefully August 3rd 2021 in Longview, Texas after a painful battle with cancer. Rick attended Capitol Hill High School in OKC and served in the Marine Reserves. Rick loved the Lord and he is now experiencing the ultimate joy. Rick was a sweet, quiet, private person, a faithful son, brother and uncle. He constantly teased his nephews, making them laugh throughout their childhood. Always there for his sister and Mother until her death at age 94. Rick never understood just how much he was loved and appreciated. Rick's passing leaves a hole in our hearts, he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his sister, Sharon Lander (Herschel), nephews, Anthony Lander (Jo), Christopher Lander (Katie), great nephews, Grayson, Travis and Ryan Lander, great niece, Theodora (Theo) Lander and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by his Father, Roy E. Whitson and Mother, Loretha Whitson.
