
Born on June 25, 1947, in San Angelo, Texas, Roanne was the daughter of Charline and Charles “C.L.” Harless, Jr. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, her brother Charles L. "Skip" Harless III, and her nephew William "Bill" Harless. Roanne is survived by her sister-in-law, Kathy Harless, as well as two nephews, three grand-nephews, a grand-niece, and numerous friends and family members.
Roanne graduated from Lindenwood University with a degree in education and dedicated many years to teaching English at John Glenn Junior High School in her hometown of San Angelo. Her passion for learning and language led her to earn a master’s degree from Texas Tech University. She later channeled her expertise into private tutoring and book editing, roles through which she continued to inspire and guide others.
Roanne’s life was enriched by her deep love for family and friends. She found great joy in reading, cooking, and traveling the world, always eager to experience new cultures and cuisines. Above all, she treasured time spent with her nephews Skip and wife Jennifer, Ely and wife Pamela and Bill Harless, as well as her grand-nephews Preston, Chase and Jackson and grand-niece Presley, who brought her immense pride and happiness.
Roanne will be remembered for her humorous spirit, sharp intellect, and the warmth she brought into every room. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she helped create.
