

After a lengthy battle with cancer, Robert Paul Vicars III, 60, a retired electrician for Hensley Industries and Frito Lay, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 3, 2014.
He was born on February 11, 1954 in Dallas, Texas to Robert and Mary Vicars. He is survived by his wife of 32 years Teresa; children: Robert Paul Vicars IV and wife Marti; Mary Faythe Wilton and husband Matt; James Henry Vicars and fiancé Catie Carmean; Charles David Vicars and wife Kate; Sarah Elizabeth Vicars and Hayley Alexandra Vicars. He leaves behind seven grandchildren: Robert, Skylar, Cole, Levi, Lucas, Cash and Knox and coming soon Nora. He is survived by his sister, Paula Dean-Downs and several nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was an intelligent man with a strong work ethic. His many friends and co-workers greatly benefited from his mentorship and friendship. He loved fishing, hunting, music, taking trips on his motorcycle, and poker nights with his good friends.

Visitation is Friday, September 5, 2014 from 6-8 pm and Services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Restland Funeral Home in Coppell, TX. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery, Boyd, Texas.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a memorial fund for Robert “Paul” Vicars at St. Jude Children Research Hospital (stjude.org) because no child should endure the ravages of Cancer.
