Ronald Kent known as "Pilgrim" was the youngest born to Jack and Jessie Latham Mason on June 23, 1961 in Macon, Mississippi. He was an adventurous and fun-loving child, he grew up hunting, and playing sports in Brooksville, Mississippi. His favorite sport was football which he played through his graduation from Macon Central Academy. Afterward he attended the University of Mississippi and graduated in 1983. He avidly followed the Ole Miss Rebels for the rest of his life, much to the chagrin of his Mississippi state relatives.
Moving to Dallas in 1984, he found his calling in sales, entering the lighting industry. His outgoing and gregarious nature won him innumerable friends and he was always the one to pick them up when they were feeling down. Marrying in 1988, he was blessed with four children that were undisputed lights of his life. His constant bragging about them probably got a little old, but he never let that stop him from detailing all his children's achievements to any who would listen.
While the world has lost one of it's brightest lights, heaven has gained a new angel. Pilgrim's legacy will always be one of good humor, great love, and constant generosity.
He is survived by his children Hunter, Mary Margaret, Shelby and Jack, and their mother Bridget; and a sister Marilynne Burnside.
