Dear Jim & Family,
I have such fond memories of Dorth (as I used to call her) from spending 2 weeks every summer with her and Harriet when my folks (Uncle Harry & Aunt Rie) would travel from Canada and Minnesota. Then the 18 months in Ann Arbor. Great times, great memories, great cousin! How she will be missed-but we will see each other again! Love to you and Your family-Mickey (Kwantes) & Bruce DeHaan, Tuscaloosa, AL

Our sincere sympathy to you, Jim, and to your kids and grandkids in the loss of your very dear wife, Mom and Grandma. Thank you for sharing the wonderful picture of Dorothy. It captures the essence of the girl we remember from school days in Grandville, MI. While we are so sad for your loss, it brings joy to know that Dorothy enjoyed such a full life with such a BEAUTIFUL family! We only wish you could have enjoyed more years together. We pray for God's supernatural comfort to carry you as you learn how to live without her. We praise God that her legacy of faith and love lives on in your hearts and holds the promise of being reunited in Heaven!!

So sorry for your loss . You may not remember me, but I was the girls piano teacher for a couple of years in Wentzville. Having gone through breast cancer treatments myself I know the toil it takes on the family. God will give you His peace through this time. God bless.

What all can you say to describe Dorothy? Sweet (but devilish), Loving (but ready with a prank), Giving, a great Smile and Laugh, wonderful to talk to and just hang out with. I am blessed to call her family -- not in-law.
Thank you for being part of my life. I will hug you on the other side.
