

He was born on February 7, 1980, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Janet Shaner, sons Jeffrey and Nathan, and Mother Margaret (Liz) Shaner. He is also survived by his Aunts Becky Holcomb and Lorraine Shaner, Cousins Heather & Jimmy Cavallo, Zachary Holcomb and family, Loretta Lewis, Pamela Shaner, Robert Shaner, and niece Madison Palitza.
He is preceded in death by his Father John Shaner, Uncle Nelson Shaner, Uncle Matthew Shaner, Uncle Glen Holcomb; Father-in-Law Larry Palitza; and all his Grandparents.
Tom was involved in his church’s annual community carnival and was known as an accomplished IT professional, admired for his brilliance and problem-solving skills. Beyond his professional life, he enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, fishing, and playing video games.
Tom was proud to serve his country in the United States Marines and later in the Texas State Guard. He never hesitated to help a friend in need.
He will be remembered for his generosity and intelligence. He never missed the opportunity to crack a joke or come back with a witty comment and that will be sorely missed. His love for his family and friends was unwavering.
Memorial services will be held Friday, 10 am on September 12th at St. Ann Catholic Parish, Coppell, Texas.
Interment will be held Monday, September 15th 11:00am at Hinds Chapel Cemetery, Corner of Church Rd. and Fogg Rd, Walls, MS. All who wish to attend are welcome for the short service.
