In loving memory of Tony Waldschmidt, 66, of Coppell, Texas, who departed this world suddenly on April 1st, 2024. Born on September 18th, 1957 in Hays, Kansas to Mel and Vi Waldschmidt, Tony's journey was one of unwavering dedication, love, and laughter.
Raised in the heartlands of La Crosse and Wichita, Kansas, Tony pursued his academic endeavors at Fort Hays State University, earning a degree in Business Management, laying the groundwork for a remarkable career ahead.
On March 1st, 1980, Tony embarked on a lifelong journey with his beloved Peggy Kincaid Waldschmidt. Their union was a testament to 44 years of shared love, laughter, and cherished memories.
With over 35 years in the tech industry, Tony Waldschmidt left an indelible mark with his unwavering dedication, impeccable work ethic, and steadfast moral compass. His professional journey saw him excel at esteemed institutions like NCR, AT&T, Teradyne, and Cisco, before transitioning into the realm of finance, culminating his career at Morrison Financial.
Yet, beyond his professional accolades, Tony's legacy resonates profoundly as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His infectious smile, quick wit, and unparalleled culinary skills brought joy to all fortunate enough to know him. A maestro on the golf course, Tony's prowess off the tees was legendary.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, survived by Peggy Waldschmidt, Branden Waldschmidt, Travis Waldschmidt, Katelynn Mann, Alex Mann, Parker Mann, Mike Waldschmidt, Linda Waldschmidt, Cynthia King, and David King. He was preceded in death by Melvin Waldschmidt, Viola Waldschmidt, and Nancy Shaw.
A celebration of Tony's life will be held at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 180 Samuel Blvd Coppell TX, on April 15th, 2024 at 3:00 PM. In honor of his memory, donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, an organization close to Tony's heart, are welcomed in lieu of flowers.
Tony lived by the mantra, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." - Albert Einstein. He touched countless lives, leaving an enduring legacy of kindness, compassion, and selflessness. May his spirit continue to inspire us all.
