Dr. V. John Mathew

He is survived by his wife, Omana, and children Reena, Sunil, Roshan, and Ann. In addition, he is also survived by his loving grandchildren Jasmine, Jason, Sarah, John, and Thomas and loving daughters in law Louise and Shoba and son in law Dr Mohan Abraham.

Dr V John Mathew was born on January 1,1930 in Kozhencherry, India. He graduated from college with a total of four degrees specializing in English, and Theology. He was a pioneer in his day for leading the teachers of tomorrow and inspiring his students to excel in everything they did. He was the superintendent of the Sunday school at the Dallas Marthoma Church for many years. He was also an avid athlete as he played both soccer and tennis and was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

The funeral is scheduled for Friday at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home in Coppell, Texas on Friday February 17,2017 at 2 PM. There is a reception scheduled immediately after the funeral from 4 to 5 PM at the funeral home.The wake is on Thursday February 16, 2017 from 6 to 9 PM at the Dallas Marthoma Church in Carrollton, Texas. There is a public viewing at the funeral home from 8:30 to 10:30 AM on Thursday February 16.
