William Merlyn Burmeister passed away in Grapevine, Texas on Monday, October 19th at the age of 62. William grew up in Iowa, graduating from Wartburg College in 1975 with a degree in accounting. He moved to Texas in 1985. William is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Brenda , his daughter Ashley Ledbetter, granddaughter Siren and grandson Asher, his mother Maxine Burmeister, his sister Candace Nelson and nephew Bridger Nelson.
William had a passion and talent for fishing and hunting and enjoyed sharing his skills and knowledge. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends. We are so grateful to have had him in our lives.
William is predeceased by his father, Merlyn Burmeister and his brother, Timothy Burmeister.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd at 11:00 AM at Rolling Oaks Funeral Home in Coppell, TX. Burial will be at the Woodville Cemetery in Waseca, Minnesota.
