

Born November 24, 1942 in Burlington, IA. He was the son of William G. and Burness (Lamb) Dearlove. He married Patricia (Dickson) Hotle on September 23, 1995 in Burlington, IA.
Bill was a 1960 graduate of Burlington High School and served in the Army National Guard. He was in Retail Sales throughout his career.
He was of Protestant faith. He enjoyed golfing and the camaraderie of good friends, bowling, his yard, being with his grandchildren, reading and his or your dog. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan, a faithful Denver Bronco fan and he tolerated his wife’s love of the Cubs. He reminisced often about his extraordinary childhood on South 13th Street. And although an only child, his memories of his large extended family that gathered every Sunday at his grandparents’ home were frequently recalled with stories and love. His career with Montgomery Wards took him to various cities in Colorado where he fell in love with the state, the people and all of Colorado’s beauty.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Patty) R. Dearlove of Lewisville, TX, step-son, Heath A. Hotle, daughter-in-law, Tracy Elliott, and grandson, Mason E. Hotle all of Coppell, TX, very special daughter, Deana Ireland and very special granddaughters, Sarah Morgan Ireland and Avery Lynne Ireland all of Telluride, CO. Several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Cremation has been entrusted to Rolling Oak Funeral Home, Coppell, TX. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Burlington, IA at a later date.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
