

Agapito was born August 20, 1926 in Guam to Fucando Salas and Engracia (Cruz) Salas.
He served in the United States Army until his retirement and then went to work as a Civil Servant until his retirement from there as well.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove.
Agapito enjoyed fishing, drinking coffee with his friends at the donut shop and playing poker.
He was preceded in death by a wife Remedios Salas in 1990 and a daughter, Vivian Torres.
He is survived by his wife Kwi “Pok” Salas of Copperas Cove; four sons, Peter Salas of Arkansas, David Salas and his wife Tracy of Dallas, Randy Salas and his wife Sevetelana of Georgetown and Minho Kim of Austin; three daughters, Sandy Paniagua and her husband Carlos of Jarrell, Donna Colburn, her husband Danny of Georgetown and Gina An; a brother, John Salas of Louisiana; twenty eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The Salas family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 24, 2011 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. following the visitation. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2011 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. Interment services will follow in the Copperas Cove City Cemetery with full military honors.
