Jennifer,
It is with a heavy heart that I am just reading about your grandfather’s passing. Steve was such a wonderful man and good friend of my sister Kathy during her time at Stoney Brook. She enjoyed their visits at the dining hall. I cried when I saw the picture of them. Thank you for including it in your memories. I continued visiting with Steve when I went for Edith to cut my hair. Our last visit was in the beauty salon while I was getting my hair cut. He sat and talked the entire time that I was there.
I am sorry that I missed his visitation. He will always hold a special place in my heart.
You were such a blessing for him. He loved you very much. I am sure he is having a big reunion in heaven with all of his former friends in life. May he enjoy his heavenly home.
My prayers will be with you,
Becky Kirkland
