

Billie Jean Bigham Meeks was born December 18, 1932 to Martin W. Bigham Sr. and Lena Hammond Bigham in Marlin, Texas. She accepted Christ as her savior at an early age, and was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Billie graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Marlin Texas and moved to Austin Texas to pursue her career in Cosmetology.
Billie married Charles (Bobby) Meeks, Jr. August 22, 1952, and to this union they had four children Kenneth Charles, Ronald Wayne, Barbara Cheryl and Jewel Olivia.
Billie was the epitome of “Meek”- humble to God and gentle toward all who crossed her path.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, J.C., Roy, Charles, Martin, Kenneth, Lawrence, Bertha, Jewelene, Juanita, and Minnie Ola, and one son Ronald W. Meeks.
She leaves to cherish her memories with her children Kenneth C. Meeks, Barbara Henderson, Jewel O. Meeks; one brother James Albert Bigham; seventeen grandchildren: Aundetricha, Chandra, Shantae, Tiffanie, Kennydee, Kenzygton, Ana, Audrey, Cedric, Kendric, Mackenzie, Matthew, Seith, Malachi, Elijah, Isaac, and Levi; twenty-two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She also leaves behind one brother James Albert Bigham, and an endeared, fun-loving group of nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
