Brandy Lee Sheumaker, age 50, of Kempner, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, in Temple, Texas. She was born on October 27, 1974, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Donna and Jimmy Edwards, who raised her to value faith, hard work, and family.
Brandy grew up in Central Texas, graduating from Killeen Christian Academy and later attending East Texas State University. She dedicated much of her professional life to serving others, first as an EMT and volunteer firefighter, and later as a Real Estate Agent and Property Manager in Central Texas. No matter the role, Brandy was known for her determination, compassion, and the way she put her whole heart into everything she did.
Her proudest role, however, was being a wife and mother. Brandy was devoted to her husband, Mike, and their children, Maddison and Mason. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, whether it was cheering from the sidelines at her kids’ sporting events, planning get-togethers, or enjoying quiet evenings at home. Family was the center of her world, and she poured her energy into creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Brandy also had a love for fitness, which reflected her strength and perseverance, and she carried those same qualities into every part of her life. Her faith was also an important part of who she was, and she was a faithful member of Eastside Baptist Church, where she drew strength and comfort.
Brandy was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Edwards, on October 22, 2017.
She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Sheumaker; her daughter, Maddison Robbins, and son-in-law, Jaylen Robbins; her son, Mason Sheumaker; her mother, Donna Edwards; her sister, Paige Butler; nephews, TJ and Westin Isbell; great-niece, Harper Isbell; and a grandson she was eagerly awaiting, Colter Robbins, who is due to arrive in December 2025. Her family finds comfort knowing that while Brandy will not hold him in this life, her love will surround him always.
Brandy’s family and friends will remember her for her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering love for those she held dear. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, selflessness, and joy that will continue to inspire everyone blessed to have known her.
A time of visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove. A celebration of Brandy’s life will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, with services officiated by Pastor Cody Craig of Eastside Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the families GoFundMe https://gofund.me/55343 or the Stroke Foundation https://strokefoundation.org.au
