Cameron Raine received the most important invitation of his life on May 11, 2016. He had the honor of going forever home. Although Cameron's time on earth was short, he made mighty impacts. Cameron was courageous as he accepted his invitation knowing all the love he would leave behind.
To all of us it may seem like 15 years is a very short time, and in many ways it is. But the excitement and vigor with which Cameron lived made the quality of that short time amazing for everyone he touched. Caution, hesitation, and fear were just not in Cameron's vocabulary. Every day was an exciting adventure that was to be experienced and not just lived.
Like a lot of boys, Cameron loved being outside enjoying himself and his friends. Generally finding ways to push the envelope between fun and daring. Cameron never let that care-free attitude override the love and compassion he had for his family, which he was never afraid or ashamed to show. Therefore, Cameron's life should be remembered and celebrated in that same way - with the same excitement and wonder with which Cameron approached every single day.
Young Mr. Raine was able to bring a smile to the most downtrodden individual. He had an ability to bring light with his loving smile and willingness to accept anyone he met into his circle. Many people are able to tell of his heroism in life. He was a proud defender of those unable to defend themselves. HIs bravery was beyond that of some twice his years. Unable to turn down any challenge and bound to drive his parents crazy through his countless daring acts, he spent many hours in the hospital reliving those momentous occasions. This beautiful soul was able to extend his courageousness through his passing by extending the life of multiple people through the superhero act of providing new life for others in need. Through these people, the life of Cameron Raine will continue to shine like the beacon he was.
Cameron is survived by his loving parents Michael and Mandy Raine, sister Aspen Raine, and two brothers Donte and Tyler; grandparents Craig and LouAnn Barrett, Linda Hempel, Mike Raine, and Sabine and Mike Horak. Cameron is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that will miss his loving spirit and kindness.
A 2:00 PM Celebration of “A Courageous Soul Too Beautiful for Earth!" will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Copperas Cove.
