My prayers to the Austin family. I knew Danny because he and the rest of the CCPD helped me a great deal while I worked for the Leader Press a few years ago. I still have the Tshirt from the 2009 Cove Night Out. I will miss you Danny!

As a High School classmate of Danny I can tell you that he was an extremely great person to have around. As young students his smile brought good feelings to all around him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of rememberance. I can say without hesitation that knowing Danny has made many others better persons.

Dear Mrs. Austin, Kyle and Kate,
I was honored to meet your husband and father in the 22nd Police Academy. Right away I was thrilled by his expertise and professionalism. Being from Germany, I asked many, many questions, I loved those 8 weeks of information and training!
So it was a shock to hear about his going home - too soon...! May all the angels be on his and also on your side!
I am so sorry about your loss!

Kathy, Kyle, and Kate, I know this is a difficult time for you and I am praying that God will comfort you as you go through it. I know that Danny is in heaven and I am sure he has everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. As I think back in our years growing up what I remember the most is the laughter. Danny could always make you laugh. I remember laughing until I cried on many occasions. He was a great guy, the best. He will be missed.
