David Reid Doyle

David, born in California in 1956, was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, brother, uncle, and cherished friend. He was a man who made a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His strength, dedication, humor, and generous spirit will be remembered by all whose lives he touched.

David proudly served his country in the United States Army, dedicating many years of his life to military service. He retired from the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer (CW4), a position that reflected his years of experience, leadership, dedication, and commitment to those he served alongside. His military career was an important part of his life, and he took great pride in serving his country and his fellow soldiers.

After retiring from the Army, David continued his career in civil service at Fort Hood, working in Aviation Maintenance. His knowledge, experience, and strong work ethic quickly earned him a promotion to Aviation Maintenance Chief. He continued serving the military community in this role until his second retirement in 2019.

Retirement gave David more time to enjoy the things that meant the most to him, his wife, his family, his ranch, and the land he loved. He and his wife cherished their life together and the peaceful country setting they called home. Their ranch was also home to many beloved animals, including horses, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. David enjoyed caring for the animals and spending time on the land, finding happiness in the simple rewards of ranch life.

Family was at the heart of David's life. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend who created memories that will be treasured for generations. He was a dependable man who could be counted on, and his presence brought a sense of strength and familiarity to those around him.

David lived a life of service, hard work, love, and dedication. From his years in the Army to his career in Aviation Maintenance and his life on the ranch, he gave his best to the people and things he cared about. He leaves behind a legacy not only of service to his country, but of love for his family and the many people and animals who were fortunate enough to share his life.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, former coworkers, and all who knew him. His memory will live on through the stories told, the lessons he taught, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely.

Though he is gone from our sight, the life he lived and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who loved him. David will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

The Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd, 2026, at 9:00 Am at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, TX.

Following the Graveside service, a reception will be held at Grace United Methodist Church 1001 W Avenue F, Copperas Cove, TX 76522.
