David “Lonestar” Weber Inurnment services with full military honors for SFC David L. Weber (retired) will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on June 3, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. He was born March 4, 1939 to John and Ella Weber in Edgewood, Illinois and died May 12, 2019 in Killeen, TX at age 80. He retired from the U.S. Army in 1979 and served two tours in Vietnam. Medals awarded were the Bronze Star, National Defense Service, Republic of Vietnam Campaign, Vietnam Service with Silver and Bronze Star, Army Commendation with Oak Leaf Cluster, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and Good Conduct Clasp with 5 Bronze Loops. After his military service he worked for the Transportation Division at Ft. Hood Texas for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, his parents and five brothers. Survivors include two sons, David of Copperas Cove, TX, Shane and his wife Debi of Fountain Valley, CA and a daughter Stephanie and her husband David of Denver, CO; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; four sisters Mary Thiel of Marion, IL, Pat like of Pesotum, IL, Lorrie Thiel of Oakland Park, IL and Eleanor Rizzuto of Finley Park, IL.
