
Dee Andrea Boomhower passed on May 31, 2026, at the age of 62. Dee was born on Fort Hood, Texas to parents Chester and Mary Boomhower. Dee resided in Copperas Cove, Texas, and was born on December 8, 1963.
Dee attended Special Education classes in Copperas Cove and Mexia State School. She graduated from Mexia State School in 1981. Dee later moved to Temple where she was in the MHMR Program and worked part time at Wilson Art in the assembly department. Dee advanced to be able to live on her own about 20 years. In 2024, Dee moved to a group home in Copperas Cove.
Despite her handicap, Dee enjoyed life and family. She often repeated others as a way of communicating. She loved listening to and watching Elvis.
Dee attended First Presbyterian Church of Temple and was baptized in 1994. She then attended the Joy Class at First Baptist Church in Temple.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Chester Boomhower; siblings Dianne Boomhower, John Spurlock, Daniel Boomhower, and Dennis Boomhower.
Dee is survived by her sister, Debra Rogers and wife Annette Irizarry and her brother, David Boomhower and wife Laree Boomhower; along with many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service for Dee will be held on Thursday June 4th, 2026 at Killeen Memorial Park beginning at 12pm.
