Demetrius Tyrell-Ire Payton

Demetrius Tyrell Ire Payton,31, died February 5,2025 in Waco, Texas. Demetrius was born September 2,1993 at Fort Hood,Texas to Kelvin Payton and Tyronda Betrice Edwards. Demetrius, or “Dee” as he was so fondly known to his family and friends, was educated in the DoDs school system in Landstuhl, Germany as well as the Killeen Independent School system, graduating from Shoemaker High School May, 2013.

Dee was a very gracious, generous, respectful and God fearing young man that loved Jesus above all things. He had a great passion for all things healthy, organic and natural, sometimes spending Saturdays walking the local farmer’s market to find new and unique items. Those that really knew Dee also knew that he was an avid video gamer and would frequently connect with his siblings and father on one of his live games.

Dee leaves to mourn his passing, his father Kelvin L Payton of Killeen; his mother Tyronda Everett and husband Lloyd of Sanford, NC; his stepmother, Nitaliya Payton of Copperas Cove, TX; his ten siblings– Trevion Caruth of Killeen, TX; Jamecia Payton Rosario and her husband Randy of Suffolk, VA; Ketric Payton of Sanford, NC; Samari Payton of Copperas Cove, TX; Siyonnah Payton of Copperas Cove, TX; Amoni Dorsey of San Antonio, TX; Olivia Everett of Sanford, NC; Samir Payton of Copperas Cove, TX; Tamia Payton of El Paso, TX and Brendon Payton of El Paso, TX.

His grandmother, Linda; step-grandmother,Rhonda; niece, nephew, uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of life long friends are among those that will truly feel the void that Dee’s passing has left in our hearts and our lives.
