

Dennis E. Worland, 77, of Copperas Cove, passed away on November 14, 2010 at a local nursing home. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove with Rev. Judy Tolbert officiating.
Dennis led a full life. He was born to Forrest and Carolyn Worland on March 30. 1933 in Jasper, IN. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the Army as a Corporal in Company C 61st Tank Battalion and was stationed overseas. He then became a private club manager for 35 years managing some of the finest clubs in the country. He retired in 1995 after losing his wife of 35 years. After his retirement he spent most of his leisure time on the golf course with his friends. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Ida Jean “Joy” Chandler. He is survived by his daughter and her husband Amy and Billy Fletcher of Copperas Cove, TX and a son, Craig Worland of Indianapolis, IN. He is also survived by four grandchildren; Katelyn and Kody Worland of Elwood, IN, Dennis Fletcher, Ashlee and her husband John Pasch of Copperas Cove; and two great-grandchildren, Travis and Gunnar Pasch of Copperas Cove.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Denisa Davis and to the staff at Windcrest Nursing Center. Dennis also had many adopted family members; Jeremy Akers, Valentina Jaimes, Teri Elmore and George, Cody and Jonathon Caskey just to mention a few. The family gives thanks to all of them for the continued love and support.
