

Don was born the middle of three children to Rose Clair and Robert Thomas Braverman in Passaic, New Jersey on November 23, 1938.
After High School, Don served in the United States Army, at Fort Hamilton, New York, as an ammunition clerk. His service took him overseas during the Vietnam War. Don proudly served his country from 1956 and was Honorably discharged in 1962.
After his service, Don enrolled at Fairleigh Dickerson University, Teaneck, NJ where he earned a degree in business management. He used this degree to manage several manufacturing plants.
Don found his home and hometown when he moved to Corning Arkansas to manage Carter Carburetor manufacturing plant. He gave so much of himself volunteering for this community. During his time in Corning, he played an instrumental role in creating a hospital, ambulance service, and public library for the community.
After the plant closed in Corning, Don moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he retired after a successful career in real estate.
Dons’ antics were legendary and those who knew him have their own stories to tell. He was well known for his daily jokes sent out via email each morning, his way of keeping in touch with friends and family.
Don was an avid car lover, he spent many years restoring classic cars, his favorite model was the Ford Thunderbird.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rose Clair and Robert Thomas Braverman and sister-in-law Beverly Braverman.
Don is survived by his Brother Robert Braverman and Sister Carole Brierly (James), daughter Dawn Dias (Frank) and son Donald Ross Braverman, Jr. (Renee). Nieces; Chris Ann and Suzanne Elizabeth and Nephew, James Robert.
Forever cherished and remembered by seven grandchildren: Justin Jordan, Edmond Cruz, Brandon Cruz (Rachel), Ashley Potter (Toby), Jarrad Jordan (Veronica), Megan Peifer (Cody), Samantha Jordan, and twelve great-grandchildren: McKinley, Emma, Izayah, Nolan, Ayanna, Hannah, Kailey, Haizlee, Hunter, Frank (AJ), Aubrey, and Cole.
To honor our fathers wishes, there will be no funeral service. We invite you to please privately celebrate Don with memories in your own ways.
