Dorothy Jean was born February 18, 1958 to Neal Archie Sanford and Barbara Jean (Bratton) Sanford in Gatesville, Texas.
Dorothy Jean enjoyed her employment with Copperas Cove Independent School District working at Fairview-Miss. Jewell Elementary School and at House Creek Elementary School. She was a very good karaoke singer and many enjoyed listening to her sing. She also enjoyed playing BINGO at the local VFW and spending time with her family and friends.
Dorothy Jean was preceded in death by her parents.
She leaves behind to treasure her memory: a son, Anthony Pierce; a daughter, Dion Schottler and her husband Jay; three brothers, Neal Alan Sanford and his wife Beth, Michael Villegas and Derek Villegas; two sisters, Christie Duff and Pamela Brown and her husband Mike; step-mother, Marie Ann Sanford; three grandchildren, Savanna Pierce, Morgan Hall and Devin Schottler; one great grandchild, Kenway Hall and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A celebration of Dorothy Jean’s life will be held privately at a later date.
