

Eldine Kate Aycock was born on March 13, 1929 to the late Milton Aycock and Pauline Clark Aycock in Bell County and she passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2015 in California. She was a graduate of Temple High School in 1947.
Eldine was a recipient of the Yellow Rose of Texas award. This award was only given through the Office of the Governor, recognizing outstanding Texas women for their contributions to their communities and to Texas in the preservation of its history.
Eldine was also a member of the Kempner Water Supply Corporation (Kempner WSC) for many years.
She was married to Clifford E. Poe. Eldine and Clifford were involved in building homes for the Cliff Creek Estates.
Eldine is preceded in death by her husband Clifford E. Poe, their son Clifford E. Poe Jr. and their grandson Clifford E. Poe III “Trey”. She is also preceded in death by her sister Mary Anna Guthrie and two brothers, Clarence and Billy Ray Aycock.
She is survived by her only daughter Donna Poe Kuhen, five granddaughters, four great- grandsons and one great-granddaughter, a brother Weldon Aycock and a sister Frances Graham.
The Poe family will receive guests for a time of visitation Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 6-7:30 pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Copperas Cove City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family as that you make a donation to the memorials for Clifford E. Poe Jr. volunteer F.D. of Kempner or the Lady Bird Johnson Wild Flower Center of Austin, TX.
