Elfriede Barbara Griffin

She married the love of her life Philip Griffin. They were married for 50 years. Philip's military service had moved the family to stations abroad and the last was Copperas Cove, Texas in July 1972.

Elfriede loved to cook and bake and anyone who ate her cakes said she was the best; especially her cheesecake and tarts. She also loved to crochet making lots of doilies. She had a green thumb for gardening and yard work. Her vegetable garden and flowers were her pride and joy. She also loved to watch wrestling and Formula-one racing. She ended up with two life-long friends, Elizabeth and Irene.

Elfriede is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Philip; and her two sons, Michael and John.

Elfriede leaves behind her son, Ronald and wife Roxanne; two daughters, Mary Ann and husband Bryan, and Christine and husband Jeffery, along with 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and another one on the way, and one great-great grandchild.

A visitation for this beautiful lady will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be at 10am on Saturday July 9, 2022 at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove, Texas. Pastor Timothy Ochsner will be presiding over the service.

The family would like to thank Elfriede's healthcare team at the ICU Baylor Scott and White in Temple. Also a big thanks to her home health nurse, Belinda, whom Mom loved.
