Funeral services for Hanna Hohn Stewart, 76, of Kempner, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove with Pastor Wilbern Michalk officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 922 Lutheran Church Road off North Farm-to-Market 116. Pallbearers are Jeremey Pelt, Joseph Rieder, David Noack, Troy Stewart, Preston Stewart and Marc Garner. Honorary pall bearers are Josiah Pelt and Henry Thurston.
Mrs. Stewart died Oct. 18, 2016, in Montgomery after a battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 2, 1939, in Freinsheim, Germany, to Michael and Emma Baumgartner Hohn.
She married Preston Stewart on Nov. 2, 1963, in Freinsheim, Germany. Hanna was a wife and mother first and foremost. She was involved in the garden club, German singing group and Lutheran ladies aid. She was an avid gardener and loved the outdoors. She loved to dance, sing and loved spoiling her grandchildren.
Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Emma Höhn; and her sister, Hilde Georgens.
She is survived by her loving husband, Preston Stewart; her children, Udo Rieder and his loving wife, Karen Rieder, Ute Stewart Noack and her loving husband, Roger Noack, Thomas Stewart and his loving wife, Inka Stewart and Michael Stewart and his loving wife, Brandy Stewart; her brother, Horst Hohn and his loving wife, Anita Hohn. Hanna Stewart had many grandchildren, Stephanie Barrett and her loving husband, Joe Barrett, Jeremey Pelt and his loving fiancee, Angelica Batencourt, Emily Thurston and her loving husband, Stephen Thurston, Joseph Rieder and his loving wife, Stacy Rieder, David Noack and his loving fiancee, Jessica Choi, Abigail Rieder, Troy Stewart, Preston Stewart, Nina Stewart and Jocelyn Stewart; three great-grandchildren, Josiah Pelt, Caydence Barrett and Henry Thurston; nephews and niece, Peter Georgens, Gabi Meininger and Oliver Hohn; and great-niece and nephews. Laura Georgens, Marius Meininger and Finn Hohn.

Mama, we are going to miss you ever so much. Thank you for everything you taught us, the love you gave and the strength you showed us. It will help us on our journey without you; with all our love to you forever.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested to donate to your local no-kill animal shelter or to the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove, which is in charge of arrangements.
