September 17, 1954 – September 9, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend on September 9, 2025, at AdventHealth Central Texas.
Born on September 17, 1954, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was the cherished daughter of Beverly and Ronald Helsel, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Andrew Kasper, with whom she shared many years. A dedicated professional and faithful servant, she lived a life rooted in compassion.
She earned her degree in Physical Therapy from Ivy Tech in Richmond, Indiana, and went on to devote her life to helping others regain strength, mobility, and hope. Her patients remember her not only for her skill and commitment, but also for her warm smile and encouraging words.
Her Catholic faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She was an active and devoted member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Copperas Cove, Texas, where she found community, strength, and purpose.
Jeannie was also known for the deep love she had for her Shetland Sheepdogs, who brought her joy, comfort, and companionship over the years. Her gentle spirit and nurturing heart extended not only to her family and friends but also to her cherished pets.
Beyond her career and church, she was deeply committed to her family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated mother, proud grandmother, and loyal friend, as someone who gave freely of her time, her love, and her heart.
She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Sawyer; son, Chad Kasper; brother, Michael Tobin; uncle, Fred Thompson; cousin, D’ylnn Thompson; grandson, Dylan Ross; and granddaughters, Carleigh Ross and Hayley Sawyer. Her family will forever cherish the memories they shared and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind.
A time of Visitation will be held on Monday September 15, 2025 from 6pm to 8pm with Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7pm at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Holy Family Catholic Church beginning at 11am followed by interment at Copperas Cove City Cemetery.
“Well done, good and faithful servant... Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
