Jeffrey Ralph Shelton

Jeff spent most of his life in Copperas Cove, where he built a legacy of hard work, service, and devotion to his family and friends. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and later retired from the City of Killeen after a long career with the sanitation department as a crane operator. A dedicated Mason, Jeff was a member of Mount Hiram Lodge #595 in Copperas Cove for many years, where he gave his time and heart to his lodge and community.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 25 years, Connie Shelton; his brothers Craig Shelton (Pam) and Brad Shelton (Karen); his daughters Lynn Traver, Jackie Shovah (Robert), Jill Corlew (Gary), and Michelle Traver; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Debra Shelton, and his son Larry Traver.

Jeff will be remembered as a caring, generous man who always put others first. He deeply loved his family and friends, and his kindness touched everyone who knew him.

A Graveside Service will be on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Copperas Cove City Cemetery.
