

Jeremy Wayne Deyo, 55, passed away on June 9, 2026. Born on May 28, 1971, Jeremy’s life was shaped by devotion—to his family, to his country, and to the steady passions that stayed with him from boyhood through adulthood. He resided in Copperas Cove, Texas.
Jeremy was born in Dallas, Texas, and was raised in Lake Dallas and Highland Village, Texas. As a young boy, he found joy in football and in the imaginative worlds he built while playing with army men. He was also involved in Boy Scouts. In high school, he played soccer and loved playing guitar—an early spark that would remain a meaningful part of his life.
In 2003, Jeremy joined the United States Army, serving as a cavalry scout and taking deep pride in his service. He endured his first deployment to Iraq from 2005 to 2006, and later deployed to Afghanistan with aviation from 2010 to 2011. Jeremy was honorably discharged in 2011, closing a chapter marked by duty, resolve, and steadfast commitment.
On May 4, 1995, Jeremy married the love of his life, Shawnie, in Vancouver, Washington. In 2006, Jeremy and his wife moved to Copperas Cove, Texas, where they made their home.
Jeremy was a talented guitarist who enjoyed jamming out and playing, finding in music a familiar comfort and a lasting way to connect with the world around him.
Visitation at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A Celebration of Life at Crawford Bowers will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 2:00 pm with. Internment at Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery will be held at a later date.
