Jeraldine M Reavis "Jerri" as she was known, 77, residing at Stoneybrook Assisted Living in Copperas Cove since the passing of her life partner Jim Jeske in May, passed away quietly on Tuesday morning, October 22, 2019.
She was born March 17, 1942 to Esta & Russell Ferris in Marion County, Indiana where she grew up with brothers Russell and Ed.
Jeri graduated from college with a degree in education and through her life taught children of all ages. One point in her life she and husband Von would transport foster children to new homes and new babies to their new adopted families. Jeri also went on to become a nursing home administrator. She served as the President of the Ladies Auxiliary for the VFW Post 3393 in Kempner. Jeri enjoyed giving back to the veteran community. She loved traveling and going on cruises.
One of the great joys in her life was taking trips with Jim and the grandkids.
Survivors include sons Bobby Huffman, Kenny Reavis, Mike Kunzler, Kenny Edwards and wife Lisa, Jimmy Edwards and wife Laura, daughters Linda Cadenas and husband David, Brenda Jackson and husband Russell, Connie Douthit and husband James, her brother Ed and wife Debbie , along with 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and well as brother Russell, husband Von Reavis and life partner Jim Jeske.
The family would like to say thank you to the staff of Stoneybrook for the love and care that Jeri received while she was there. To Compassus Hospice Car and most especially Kimbel and AJ, your care and compassion are so greatly appreciated.
Funeral Service will be held at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Copperas Cove at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 2, 2019 with visitation starting at 9:00 am.
