Joann Florence Connolly moved on from this world Friday, January 28th, 2022. With sadness in our hearts, our family mourns the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life ended before any of us were ready to see her leave, but we know that she has joined her other two sons in heaven.
Joann was always ready to share advice with those that needed it, whether they were family or friends; it did not matter as she treated them all the same. Granny, as she was known to all, was right at home with her family putting together puzzles, baking cookies or playing 31. The kitchen was filled with the smell of her Chicken and Dumplings recipe, which all gathered around and enjoyed. You just knew she loved being the matriarch of the family by the way she talked about every one of them: the pride she held for each and every one was deeply profound and noticeable. Joann’s favorite pastime was spending time with her friends playing Bingo, which sometime brought out her fighting side particularly if she only needed one number and it was ‘in the window’. She would show that she had great command of the English language.
From her 5 Children, Frank (Beverly) Connolly of Copperas Cove, Texas, Stephen Connolly (deceased) William (Alice) Connolly of Tieton, Washington, Kathleen (Dennis) Stagger of Temple, Texas and Charles Connolly (deceased), along with her 18 Grandchildren and 29 Great Grandchildren as well as innumerable friends and acquaintances hopefully will find solace in knowing that Granny is in a better place. We just know she’s up in Heaven gathering angels around in a bingo hall. Although we acknowledge her passing, we also know that Granny would want us to live on and laugh loudly. We are planning a celebration of life where we intend to crank up the music and tear down the house!
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.crawfordbowerscopperascove.com for the Connolly family.
