

He was born to the late Nicholas and Annie Keen, Sept. 14, 1935 in Paris, TX. The youngest of 4 sons and 1 daughter.
John graduated from Ganado High School class of 1952 and then joined the US Army in 1955. He was stationed in Hawaii and Germany on several occasions; and served a tour in Vietnam before retiring as Sergeant First Class in 1976.
He was a decorated Hero as a soldier in the United States Army for 21 years and a cherished Hero as a father figure to all of his children and family.
John fell in love and married the late Annie Ruth Keen and enjoyed 41 years of deer hunting, fishing, and cooking out with his 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
He was blessed with love a second time when he married Vivian Harris in 2004 and gained additional family through her 7 children and 14 grand children and 3 great grand children. Together, John and Vivian visited many beautiful and historic locations of the US and had fun out dancing many evenings.
John Keen’s life here was filled with an abundance of happiness and love for family and the simple things of life. His passing to Heaven leaves behind a great legacy of family and friends who think the world of him.
May he enjoy peace until we see him again.
