Jose Wolfe joined his beloved wife Rita Wolfe; son Joseph Wolfe; parents Joe and Josephine Wolfe, and nephew Nathan Wolfe on January 21, 2021.

Following his Father's footsteps, Jose served his country in the U.S. Army. He later joined Federal Civil Service as a QASAS (Quality Assurance Specialist - Ammunition Surveillance). He loved his career and often said if you enjoy your job, you never work a day in your life. Jose served at military bases across the USA, as well as Germany; Korea; the Netherlands; and Bosnia & Herzegovina. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Jose graduated from Central High in Pueblo, Colorado. He graduated from multiple military schools including Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, and Savanna Army Depot, Illinois.

Having three daughters, Jose was an advocate for equality. During his career, he ensured everyone had a fair chance for promotion and career opportunities regardless of gender or race in a time when this opinion was unpopular.

Jose loved hunting, fishing, shooting, reading, and watching foreign films. He enjoyed spending time with his Grandchildren teaching them about astronomy and world travel. He would never turn down a request from a person in need. His generosity was often anonymous.

Jose leaves behind his children Bernadette Wolfe, Christopher (Melissa) Wolfe, Melissa (Jason) Hanson, Samantha (Jason) Peck, Sister Janie (John) Armijo, Brother Tony (Irene) Wolfe, Sister Ramona Wolfe, Nephews Bryan Armijo, Michael (Melissa) Armijo and Cousins Betty and Ida Tucker. He had eight grandchildren (Jason, Samuel, Christina, Alex, Greyson, Kaitlin, Victoria, Joseph and Jacob) and five great grandchildren (Blaine, Jacob, Winter, Greyson and Sophia). Jose will be inurned in the columbarium at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery on May 5, 2021. Services and prayers will be conducted by former Son-In-Law George Hall and Brother-in-Law John Armijo.

Dear Bernadette and the entire Wolfe Family,

I wish I had known your dad - he sounds amazing! Well, maybe I did know him through you -- you have all the same qualities and kindness as I read in his obituary.

I pray God comfort all of you in this time of loss, and encourage you with joy that you'll see him again in eternity!
God bless you, Bern.

Sincerely,
Debbie
